The lakes and rivers around me are covered in a deep blanket of white snow and ice. The air is so cold that cars growl when asked to start. As I look at my kayak tucked away in the garage, my mind wanders ahead to warmer weather and dream of paddlling the waters of the Severn Trent Waterway. When will the ice break? Soon I hope.
As a newbie kayaker, I realize preperation makes for a more enjoyable paddle. So, I have started swiming and lifting light weights at a local YMCA in order to prep my body.
I would like to know what you suggest to consider when purchasing a wet suit and possibly a dry suit for kayaking. I want something that is functional, affordable, and comfortable to wear.
