for those of you who do not yet know about the trip.

In order to further the sport, to bring worldwide attention and interest in Long Distance Expedition Kayaking and the current state of our Environment, the Pacific Rim Team ( X and Ryan) are beginning their Record Breaking Expedition from Phuket, Thailand to San Francisco, California? a thrilling and treacherous one year - three month expedition across 13,000 miles roiling ocean along the Pacific rim. The Team will pass through Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, Russia, USA and Canada. It is our quest to follow in the footsteps of many great kayaking explorers who have gone before us to make history. Oskar Speck, Ed Gillet , Peter Bray, Anne Quemerre, Justin Jones and James Castrission. We too have excellence, guts, and vision. You can be a part of this vision in our effort to be the best in our field.
The Pacific Rim team will be creating a video and photo documentary of this amazing one year voyage as well as writing a book

All along I was telling him that this was not a good idea, They built a boat, which was supposed to last 13k miles, After it was built ,they took it out in the bay(in Thailand) and after a couple of small waves, the boat disintregrated. So that was the end of the expedition. All the worries that I went thru, were for nothing. I am glad to be typing this, because in all expeditions, its all about the planning for the worst and if planned properly, you will be prepared. Thanks for taking an interest, Jim
