Hello.
I represent a group of four engineering students at Acadia University in Canada. We are working on designing a device to aid in the portaging of kayaks for a class, and we are required to do some real market research.
Our current design is for a device to make it convenient for a single person to portage a kayak and all their gear over some distance at once. We are looking at several options, including directly attaching a kayak to the back and having a folding set of wheels that would attach to the kayak allowing it to be rolled behind the user.
It would be greatly appreciated if people would comment about what features they would require in such a device, what features would be desirable but not necessary for purchase, and any ideas about improvements.
