Hello everyone! I've been designing kayaks for a major manufacturer for the past 5 years and recently decided to branch out on my own. Being an industrial designer, I've focused on everything water-line up. I've also done a fair amount of high-end bicycle designs which tend to mimick carbon-fiber kayak construction.

Anyhow, anyone else here a designer? Are there ever any design competitions?

Looking forward to getting to know people on this forum. Hopefully I'll be able to learn a lot and perhaps help others interested in design.

Have to get to a computer to check your site out. How long have you been on your own?

Yeah, definitely check out my website to see a portfolio of my work. Been on my own for a few months now and am keeping pretty busy working on bike frames, but would like to continue designing kayaks.

That's pretty cool. I use Wilderness Systems boats myself.

Cool, Wildy are great boats. Which model do you have? I probably worked on it! Without giving out any inside secrets, I could probably give you a little history on the development of your boat.
