I've bought one of these. It compares to padddles costing $100 more in specialty shops. Sure it only has an aluminum shaft. But it has an asymetrical blade and is relatively light (for the price) at about 35 oz. The yellow's nice for making your presence known to boaters in the area. It has a nice flat paddeling face and is 3 position adjustable.

This paddle's so good it's really making me think twice about spending hundreds of dollars for a paddle that's marginally better.
I only paddle about 6 miles a day at an average of 3mph. Maybe when I get more experience I'll want something lighter.

This is an excellent entry level paddle. It'll take me quite some time to "outgrow" this paddle. By then maybe I'll have figured out exactly what I want.
