I recently completed a 3 day 68 mile paddle of the Namekagon River which is part of the St.Croix National Scenic Riverway in northern Wisconsin.
The wildlife was abundant. I saw numerous deer, eagles, raccoon, beaver and missed seeing a black bear by minutes.
There are over 50 primitive campsites along the river and water is available at boat landings.
The friendly people at the Log Cabin Resort provided my shuttle service.
I would highly recommend the Namekagon for a kayak/camping adventure.
