This has been the longest dreary winter I can recall. Today’s weather was sunny and temps got up to 71 degrees here in my area of Kentucky. I loaded my boat and took it with me to work only to stay in the office briefly. I drove to the nearest lake and finally got on the water! The sun was shinning on my face, water beneath my boat, and all was right in my world. :D:D:D
All winter long I have paddled in my mind and on the internet. Did I say I was pleased to actually get back on the water? The plan for tomorrow is to do it all over again before cool weather and rain reappears.
I hope those of you who live in areas that have mild climate year round at least think of us poor souls who aren’t brave enough to paddle in the freezing cold or fortunate to live in your warm areas. I know I often think of you!
Has anybody else in the area been able to get out and enjoy a little paddling yet?
