I am getting a rec kayak. When it capsizes, will I be able to get out? Also, can it sink if it capsizes?
This is the one I am looking at:

After capsizing, getting out of most recreational kayaks is quite easy. Realistically, you will probably just fall out. However, it would be prudent to have a friend stand by while you practice your wet exits. Even more prudent would be to take an introduction to kayaking class, during which they should spend a fair amount of time teaching kayak safety including wet exits. Kayaks generally have enough buoyancy to float even when they're full of water, although they may be partially submerged. In addition to the kayak you're considering, the Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 (http://www.kayakreview.org/go/pungo120/) is an excellent recreational kayak. For some other recommended recreational kayaks as well as buying advice and price comparison tools, visit this page about recreational kayaks (http://www.kayakreview.org/recreational-kayaks). Good luck and please don't hesitate to let us know how else we can help.
