Hi All,
I am just getting into kayaking. Can anyone suggest a good first kayak? I have been looking at the Wilderness Systems Pamlico 100, does anyone have any experience with this one? I will be doing mostly recreational kayaking when we go camping or local lakes in my area. I would apprecciate any advice you might have. Thanks!!

WS makes nice boats, and the Pamlico is certainly a solid choice. I would recommend going with the 120, as the extra 2 feet make a HUGE difference in tracking. The 10 footers are slow and hard to keep in a straight line.

My wife has a wilderness systems Tsunami 125. It is a very good kayak for beginners to more advanced. I have used it also. Great all round kayak.
