OK so maybe I enjoyed that movie a little too much. Anyways I live in Columbus, Ohio and have been kayaking since I was young in Boy Scouts and just picked it up again after too long of a hiatus. After I bought a kayak and started looking for places to paddle and people to paddle with. Amazingly there are tons of places to go within a 1/2 hour radius of where I live and a ton more an hour out. As far as folks to paddle with, well I am making lots of new friends through Paddle Ohio (http://www.meetup.com/paddle-ohio/) and Paddle Ohio Rivers and Creeks Edition (http://www.meetup.com/movingwater/).
