Hello,
I'm from Ibiza and I want to share the information of one great seakayak event here. I'd been last year and I've a lot of fun. Don't miss it.

SPECIAL KIMROS 2010 & ROUND TO IBIZA
This year, the “KIMROS”, International meeting of sea kayak, is going to celebrate his 9th edition. A edition whit a very especial particularity, this year, before celebrate de 10th anniversary, the KIMROS will be united with the Round to Ibiza and will be the ending of this important event, which want to promote, besides the sea kayak, the enthusiasm and camaraderie that exist within the world of kayaking.
It is organized in Ibiza for Sant Josep city council and with the collaboration of Ibiza Mundo Activo.
As a kayaker you cannot miss this event.
The Round to Ibiza will be to 4th until 10th on October, joining to the KIMROS 2010 the last two days 9th and 10th on October, in the most beautiful season to visit the island from the sea and give us a perspective is possible to see only few times. In these days the participants can enjoy the Ibiza’s secrets places: caves, cliffs, and the little islands which only few times show all its light.
The participants can choose between do the complete round to Ibiza or only the KIMROS.
Every navigation day is divided in two stages:
First day: Starts in Playa des Pinet, going to Ses Balandres and ending at Sant Miquel’s port.
Second day: Starts from Sant Miquel’s port, lunch at Cala den Serra and ending al Es Figueral.
Third day: Starts in Es Figueral, going to visit the island of Tagomago, Cala Llenya and stops at Cala LLonga
Forth day: From Cala Llonga, going to Playa de la Torre del Mar and arrive to Sa Caleta.
Fifth day: From Sa Caleta, they go to Sa Pedrera, turning the two famous and mysterious islands of Es Vedrà y Es Vedranell and arrive to Cala Molí.
In this moment the Round to Ibiza joins to KIMROS 2010.
KIMROS starts from Cala Molí, turning S’Espartà, Des Bosc and Sa Comillera, three islands unknown, but when you get closer them you can see how they open like a spring flower.
The second day starts from Cala Comte and ends at Es Pinet beach.
The Round to Ibiza will have 183,200 Km. and KIMROS will have 33 Km.
This event, how we say before, is not only a meeting to navigate, unless an event for the fellowship and to have fun shearing one passion as sea kayak, that for all of us, who already try it, know that is not easy to leave.
For this edition we expect a lot of party, music and good gastronomy for all the participants and celebrate the passion for the sea that all of us shear.
This year, KIMROS and the Round of Ibiza want to be more international than ever. It was presented in two of the most important international tourism trade fair; FITUR and ITB in Berlin and we also send publicity and information to the clubs around the world with a great reception. For all of this, we wait a lot of people, even you.
The inscription will be open soon and we wait a lot of participants, who can enjoy our gastronomy, our land and our savoir faire from Ibiza’s people, knowing a part of this marvellous island which we carry on our hearts and we are sure that all the people who participates will be loving it like us, for the views, for the white houses, for its clean water with the posidonia forest inside, for the cliffs, for the gastronomy, for the love to the earth and the sea, but, with no doubt, for the feeling of being at home, which cover you and, although you go, it continues accompanying you the rest of your life.
This is only a little part that can offer Ibiza, KIMROS and the Round of Ibiza is an opportunity to see it all, because if you try, you come back for sure.
