Spray skirt sizing

I have an older kayak ,a tribalance and I would like to get a spray skirt for it ,I would like to know how to size or in otherwords what part of the sit in cock pit do I measure length width is it metric or standard?

You should just be able to measure the length & width of the cockpit and then contact a spray skirt manufacturer to determine which of their skirts will fit your boat. Seals makes nice skirts and this is their spray skirt sizing (http://www.sealsskirts.com/sizing/sizing.php) page.
