Hi
I have been kayaking for a few years now, mostly day trips but have done some longer overnight paddles. Due to a leg injury from an accident I have some difficulty getting in and out of my boat. Thinking of adding outriggers so I am not a burden to my fellow paddlers. Thoughts and recommendations greatfully accepted.

Hello muddy,
1st, im sorry to hear about the accident, but glad your tenacity is still in place....I think I have a simple solution for you, I to have an interest in these for fishing and stability during as a sea kayak in my opinion cant compare to the stability of a sit on top for this......let me know what you think, install twist the valves and your set.

Muddy, Welcome the community.

There is a DIY outrigger kit you can get that is pretty inexpensive and simple to install. Let me look for the link and I'll post it here for you.

Thanks for the help, I am also looking at outriggers from Springcreek located in Mt.Iron Minnesota. Their website is www.canoegear.com. The outriggers are mfg. there. Let me know what you think.
